I Was Once told My Skin Was Too Dark...

I would like to share a moment in my life, a personal story that once brought me feelings I had never experienced.

I was once told that my skin was "too dark".

I was too dark to be accepted into someone else's home.

Now this brought up a whole new layer of emotions for me.

I felt confused, unwanted, hurt and truth be told a bit scarred after that day. Wondering how someone could think so cruel.

There is not one right skin color. There is no wrong skin color. We are all made from one creator.

We are all meant to be different. Not one of us are meant to be the same. And there is so much beauty in that.

God may have created many varieties of skin tones. But what I believe, is our souls are all the same color.

I believe there is good in all people. Even the ones who have hurt me.

When you are born, you do not come to this earth immediately hating people for the color of their skin.

That is taught through practice.

It is taught through constant negative words, which causes young souls to grow as negative beings, with constant negative thoughts.

These are people who hate others for what they can not change about themselves.

Whoever you are reading this remember, you are beautiful no matter the color of your skin.

We are all one.

We are all made by the same Lord.
The same universe.

If the negative words of the world can teach people how to hate, don't you think your positive words brought into this world could also teach them how to love?

If these people were taught to hate, they can be taught to love.

Be obsessed with becoming a person comfortable in your skin.

There is so much good in the world. But, it starts with you.
